Le module Xm-2 est un module de traitement dusignal optimisant les X-Amp en fonction du sy-st?me d'enceintes d'aigus longue port?e V2-30P. Compte tenu des performances g?n?ralesde la configuration V-System, utiliser le Xm-2conjointement avec les V 2-30P permet de tirerle meilleur parti des possibilit?s de transmissionde l'enceinte. L'?galiseur, aux fonctions, fine-ment param?tr?es, est enti?rement analogique,et garantit une excellente qualit? de restitution,dynamique et sans aucune distorsion
Xm-2 vient tout simplement s'ins?rer dans le slotde la face avant de n'importe quel ampli X-Amp,et, sans r?glages compliqu?s, prend d?s lors encharge le contr?le des composantes du syst?meconnect?. Le r?glage du niveau s'effectue par unpotentiom?tre crant? de haute pr?cision, ? 31pas. La fr?quence de transition du filtre passe-haut de type Butterworth (18 dB/octave) est fix?e? 3,2 kHz. Le module int?gre ?galement un?galiseur constant ? 7,8 kHz et un ?galiseurcommutable ? 12 kHz - tous deux de type PEAK.La mise en service individuelle est indiqu?e gr?ce? des t?moins ? LED. La LED de pr?sence designal d'entr?e s'allume d?s que le niveau decelui-ci d?passe -35 dBu, ? l'entr?e du moduleou ? celle de l'amplificateur. Un commutateurMUTE, muni d'une LED marqu?e MUTE, permetde couper le signal. Description
The Xm-2 module is an X-Amp system cabinet-pertinent signal processor module. It has beenspecially designed for use with V 2-30 P Farfield Hi-cabinets. Considering the overall per-formance of the V-System set-up, utilizing theXm-2 together with the V 2-30 P makes optimaluse of the cabinet's transmission ability. Thefine-tuned equalizer functions are fully analogand therefore guarantee premium distortion-free and dynamic reproduction. The Xm-2 module is simply inserted into thefrontal module slot of an X-Amp and withoutextensive adjustments takes over the control ofthe connected system components. Setting thevolume is possible via a 31-step precision levelcontrol. The crossover frequency of the 18dBButterworth Hi-Pass filter is at 3.2kHz. A con-stant PEAK EQ at 7.8kHz and an additional,switchable PEAK EQ at 12 kHz are integrated.The individual setting is indicated via LEDs. Thesignal input LED lights whenever the signal levelat the module or power amplifier input risesabove -35dBu. A MUTE switch with integratedred MUTE LED mutes the signal. In dynamicpeaks, the output power produced by X-AmpSeries power amplifiers can exceed the statednominal output power capacity by far. Therefo-re, the Xm-2 module employs TBC (ThermalBrain Circuit), which simulates the thermal be-havior of the loudspeaker components connec-ted and limits the amount of energy that is fedto the loudspeakers whenever continuous ther-mal overload conditions are detected. Activati-on of the TBC is indicated by the correspondingTBC LED. The TBC-OFF switch on the modu-le's printed board assembly disables the TBCfunction. With the "MODE SELECTOR" switchon the XM-2 module's pcb set to "1in2", thepower amplifier blocks A&B of a Dual Channelpower amplifier - e. g. the X1202 - are configu-red for parallel operation. In this case only onefilter module is needed for both channels. thesecond module slot is not used.

Das Modul Xm-2 ist ein boxenspezifisches Si-gnalprozessor-Modul aus dem X-Amp System.Es ist speziell f?r den Einsatz mit V 2-30 PFarfield-Hochtonkabinetten entwickelt worden.Durch Verwendung des Moduls in Verbindungmit dem V 2-30 P werden die ?bertragungsei-genschaften des Kabinetts, unter Ber?cksichti-gung der Gesamt-Performance des V-System-Setups, optimal genutzt. Die fein abgestimmtenEntzerrungsfunktionen sind voll analog reali-siert und gew?hrleisten dadurch maximaleVerzerrungsfreiheit und einen erstklassigen Dy-namikbereich. Das Xm-2 Modul wird einfach amFront-Modulslot eines X-Amps eingesteckt und?bernimmt dann ohne gro?e Justierma?nah-men die Kontrolle der angeschlossenen Sy-stemkomponenten. Ein Abgleich der Lautst?rkeist ?ber den Pr?zisions-Levelregler mit 31 Rast-stellungen m?glich. Die Trennfrequenz des18dB Butterworth-Hochpassfilters liegt bei3.2kHz. Neben einem festen PEAK EQ bei7.8kHz ist ein weiterer schaltbarer PEAK EQbei 12 kHz integriert, wobei die jeweilige Schal-terstellung ?ber LEDs angezeigt wird. Die Si-gnal Input LED leuchtet auf, wenn einSignalpegel von mindestens -35dBu am Modul-bzw. Endstufeneingang anliegt. ?ber denMUTE-Schalter kann der Signalpfad stummgeschaltet werden, was durch eine rote LED imMUTE-Schalter angezeigt wird. Die X-Ampssind in der Lage bei Dynamikspitzen weit h?hereLeistung als die angegebene Nennleistung ab-zugeben. Das Xm-2 Modul ist darum mit einemTBC (Thermal Brain Circuit) ausgestattet, derdas Temperaturverhalten der angeschlossenenLautsprecherkomponenten simuliert und beidauerhafter ?berlastung die den Lautsprechernzugef?hrte Energie begrenzt. Sobald der TBCzu arbeiten beginnt, wird dies ?ber die TBC LEDangezeigt. Die TBC Funktion kann ?ber denSchalter TBC-OFF auf der Modulplatine deak-tiviert werden. ?ber den Schalter "MODE SE-LECTOR" auf der Modulplatine in Stellung"1in2" k?nnen beim Xm-2 Modul, die Endstu-fen-Bl?cke A&B einer Dual Channel Endstufen,z.B. der X1202, parallel geschaltet werden.Dadurch wird nur ein Filtermodul f?r beideKan?le ben?tigt. Der zweite Modulslot bleibt frei.
