With the remote control buttons.
EPROM Version NumberThe version number can be called up in the InfoMenu with the "AUX" button. The index 02 ofthe part number (19798-250.02) indicates theEPROM version.
Changing the Display BrightnessThe VFD brightness is changed by pressing the"AUX" --> - + buttons sequentially.
Programme Lock (protection againstunauthorised use)You can cancel your personal code number viathe Info Centre --> Timer --> Security Code bypressing and
OK sequentially.
ATS ResetPress and hold the "L+" button on the localkeyboard while switching on with the mainsbutton. This option activates the ATS functionnext time the TV is switched on.
One place/Two Place Programme SelectionVia the Menu Info Centre --> Special Functions--> Settings, Programme Selection can beswitched over between 1-9 and 1-99.
Maximum Programme NumberVia the Menu Info Centre --> Special Functions--> Settings. When storing the channel number"00" at any programme position, programmeselection with the
buttons is limited to the
numbers lower than this position.
OSD-ON/OSD-OFF All Programmes.The on screen display can be switched on or offvia the Menu Info Centre --> Special Functions--> Settings --> Pict./Sound Options. Whenselecting the OSD-OFF option the stationidentifications and scales for the analog valuesare not displayed.
OSD-ON/OSD-OFF Individual Programmes
Note: only TVs with LED display.
Activate the desired station via the Menu InfoCentre --> TV Station Table and enter a decimalpoint "." at the first place of the station identifi-cation. With this setting the display can beswitched off for the selected programmes.
Loading the Average ValuesPress and hold the "P" button on the localkeyboard and switch the TV on with the mainsbutton. In doing so the analog average valuesfor the programmes 1-99 and AV1- AV5 areloaded in the programme memory IC840, theAV witch-on bit is reset and the ATS bit is set.The individual settings can be entered andstored with the remote control handset.

Loading the Emergency Data (eg. afterchanging
Connect pin 1 of the processor to chassis andswitch the TV on with the mains button. TheEPROM in the processor IC850 is loaded with:-
the data set and the geometry data forthe IC TDA 9162
the white balance data VR, VG and VBfor the IC TDA 9162
the IF and AFC control voltages.
Hi-Fi Output: off, variable, linear
Via the Audio Menu --> Hi-Fi Output, with the buttons, the AF at the Hi-Fi output can be:-
Switched "off" (display shows P..),normal operation.
Set to "variable" (display shows PH..),volume level for the Hi-Fi system canbe changed via the TV remote control.The loud speakers in the TV receiverare switched off in this case.
Set to "linear" (display shows PH..),constant level for the Hi-Fi system.
Switching Over the Sound (multi)Stereo, Mono, FM, NICAM, NICAM BVia the Audio Menu --> Sound it is possible withthe buttons to change over the stereodecoder for the desired sound reception.
Forced MonoBy entering the option "MONO" or ".ONO" at the1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place of the station name,the stereo decoder can be made to switch overto FM-mono. The "MO" option is not indicated inthe display.
Volume Level MatchingVia the Menu Info Centre --> Settings -->Volume it is possible on RF mode and Perimode to set a volume offset on each TVprogramme position (volume level matching).
Setting the Peri Bit"AUX" --> " "AV".With the Peri bit set, the control processorevaluates the switching voltage on pin 8 of theEURO-AV-socket AV1 (black) and switches theTV receiver to this input, eg. on descrambleroperation.
