For purchasing a Morley® pedal.
Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with thefeatures of your new pedal. With common sense handling,it should last for years. We know you will appreciate therugged construction of your Morley®. Most of all, we hopeyou enjoy using it as much as we enjoyed building it.
The Crystal Chorus has two controls: DEPTH & RATE.Understanding these controls will help you to get thesound you are looking for.
The DEPTH control adjusts the amount of Chorus presentin the mix. When the stereo output is used it will alsoenhance the stereo spectrum between the two amplifiers.Refer to the sample settings section of this manual forhints. Keep in mind that your overall sound is a product ofyour guitar, amp, pickups, effects, cables, strings and ofcourse - playing style.
The RATE control alters the speed of the chorus oscillation.You will notice that LED blinks in real time with the ratethat is set. Again, refer to the sample settings section of thismanual for hints.
CONNECTIONS
IN: Input jack. Plug instrument into this jack using 1/4"guitar cable.OUT: Connect amplifier to this jack using a 1/4" guitarcable.STEREO OUT: Connect a second amplifier to this jack forstereo chorus.9V: Connect Morley 9 volt regulated AC adapter to thisjack.
NOTE: You'll find your cord fits very tightly into our inputand output jacks. The tight fits helps prevent the cord frombecoming accidentally unplugged from the pedal. Makesure the cords are completely plugged in for best results.
Use only Morley's 9-volt regulated adapters. Using a non-regulated adapter could cause a low frequency hum inyour amplifier.
The CRYSTAL CHORUS is designed to use one 9 voltbattery when not using an adapter. We suggest you use agood quality alkaline battery.Your pedal is designed for long battery life. To prolongbattery life, unplug your cord completely from the inputjack when not using the pedal. When the pedal is not usedfor extended periods, we recommend you remove thebattery from the pedal or replace it every six month toprevent leakage problems.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
When the battery becomes weak, the overall chorus effectwill become weak and your signal may become slightlydistorted.Remove the battery door located on the bottom of thepedal. (a short cord is attached to the door to help preventloss. Once the door is off, the old battery can be removedfrom the battery snap and a new battery plugged in. Makesure the polarity (+/-) is correct before inserting the newbattery.When you replace the battery door , you will notice it fitsvery tightly against the battery. This prevents the batteryfrom rattling inside the pedal.
